Rodent Control in Breeder Houses
In and Around the Poultry House
1) Keep the area between the outside wall and the drip line free of any vegetation.
2) Keep the area around the house mowed (up to 50 feet).
3) Remove any equipment lying on the ground around the poultry house.
4) Remove any trash from around the chicken house.
5) Do not leave any spilled feed under the feed bins. Clean up daily.
6) Seal any holes in the walls both inside and outside.
7) In the egg room all things should be at least 12” from the floor.
8) Make sure all outside doors are sealed and no cracks are greater than ¼ inch.
9) Be sure that all overhead holes in the dropped ceiling houses are baited and sealed.
10) Report any rodent sightings inside of the hen house to your service tech.
