Conducted studies of plant cell pH using a close coupled SSD videospectrofluorimetric microscope system. Developed lab protocol for studies of plant cell pH and for fish (the Japanese Medaka) egg fertilization phenomena using fluorescent indicator dyes and the calcium photoflor aquorin. Established a clear photographically-recorded link between the surface gel-formation wave, an intracellular pH wave, and an intracellular calcium shift immediately following in vitro fertilization in the Medaka egg.
Consultant and Corporate Treasurer, (RTD) Research, Testing and Development Corporation, Lexington, Georgia, October, 1984 - October, 1986. Completed literature evaluations of medical and toxicological chemicals for industrial and legal clients. Office Manager and Corporate Treasurer, 1985-1986. Prepared and wrote extensive toxicology reports, publications and advice in support of defense litigation. Wrote affidavits and testified as an entomology pesticide expert. Participated as coauthor in the first article establishing the similarity in infection rates between all risk groups exposed to HIV infection in the United States.
